Do You Sleep Naked?

I have to admit sometimes I don't take my own advice. I don't tend to take my makeup off every single night, but I try at least. Have you wonder why it is extremely important to remove your makeup before bed? I didn't grow up having the perfect skin, but as I've become older I have found products that work on me and the ones that don't work so well either. Believe it or not removing your makeup before bed can prevent many things:

♥ Reduce the size of your pores.
♥ Prevent skin inflammation that's associated with signs of aging.
♥ Prevent the skin of your eyelids from drying out.
♥ Keep the chemicals in your makeup from soaking into your pores.
♥ Allow the natural shedding process to begin, keeping your skin from looking dull.

When To Toss Your Makeup

We all make sure to look at the expiration date when dealing with food. Believe it or not makeup also has an expiration date. It is important to know when to toss your makeup. I just went through my makeup collection and tossed a few things that I know I don't use and also the makeup that just had to go.

Powder Blush-2 years

Cream Blush- 6 months, 12 months is okay too

Foundation- 12 months

Face Powder- 1 to 4 years

Concealer- 12 to 18 months

Cream Eyeshadow- 12 to 18 months

Powder Eyeshadow- 2 years

Mascara- 3 months

Eyeliner- 3 months

Lipstick- 1 to 2 years. I suggest getting rid of it when it starts to smell funny/rancid.

Lipgloss- 2 years

Lotion- 2 years

So there you have it! I believe the most important makeup items you should replace often is obviosuly mascara, and eyeliner, because they will be touching your eyes at all times and can cause to grow bacteria or cause an infection.

DIY Wired Rings

One of the biggest trends we are seeing are wearing really dainty delicate rings. I immediately fell in love with them because they were so girly and not to over the top. There is many websites that sell them and very affordable but once shipping is included I don't think is worth the price. So I mentioned this to my boyfriend and he decided to help me out. We went to Michael's and got a 16 gauge dead soft wired in gold and some craft pliers. It is a bit complicated to do but once you get the hang of it, it is very easy. Even though I didn't do most of the job. Pictures down below will show the final product :)
