Christmas Stocking Stuffer Ideas

The holidays are arising upon us and is time to take time off to celebrate with close friends and family. If you are the kind of person that hangs stockings every year but seem stuck this year? I have some ideas for everyone in the family for stocking stuffers for both genders. Because we all know that gift cards can get pretty boring sometimes. Hope this is helpful and leave your comments and feedback down below.

It's Turkey Time

Happy Thanksgivng to you all first of all. I am sadly spending in it at work this morning but it is okat because once I'm off work I'll be able to spend it with family. This is the time to reflect all the things we have and what others might not. To be thankful for family, friends and the meal on our table. I am thankful for my health and my son's including everyone around me.

My plan for today will consist of work of course, I then will be heading home and getting ready to eat dinner with the family. I don't have anything special plan for the rest of the day since I will be working the next day. I was really hoping to go shopping for Black Friday but unfortunately my funds are not in a good stand so my Christmas shopping will have to wait. Hope you all have a good Thanksgiving. Photos down below of some of my creations and ootd. Wobble Wobble!

Breaking Dawn Part 2

I had been so pumped for Breaking Dawn Part 2 and finally the day arrived. I went with my bestie to see a 10pm showing which I was glad since I had to be at work the next morning. The movie was awesome and even though I was so stocked I'm kid of sad that the end of Twilight is over. What I am more excited is for the DVD to come out, so I can have my very own Twilight marathon at home, my boyfriend will be so happy...lol Let me know down in the comments below what you thought of the movie if you seen it yet.

Pho-Sho

Today was pretty much a day for me and the boyfriend. We try to have our day date every week. This week I wanted to go more in the Asian food direction. I have never tried pho, so we decided to try a place a friend recommended. After some lunch we headed to a place called Fat Straws where they sell boba tea. Of course it was my first time having it as well. My boyfriend had to work that evening so I pretty much just went home and did a lot of nothing. I enjoy having days were all you do is just do nothing and the food was just a plus :) Hope you enjoyed my experience and let me know on the comments below what you do for date nights.

DIY: Scrubs

Winter is just around the corner. I live in Texas so the cold front has not hit us just yet. This post will be exactly all the winter battles we are faced with. I know in the winter it never fails but I get really chaffed lips and dry hands, no matter how many times I apply lotion or lip balm.

It is extremely important to take care of your hands, lips, face and even feet. We sometimes tend to forget our feets in the winter since we wear socks at all times and who is going to see your feet right? Well even if you are not going to be showing them off, it is important to keep them soft and ready for summer.

I have already been doing my own face and lip scrubs for years now, but it has just  ocurred it can be done for your hands and feet. My current employment started to put sea salt scrub in the restrooms and they had a sign of them selling them. I kind of giggled because this is so easy to make and also can be a cute christmas gift since the holidays are arising upon us. I will be giving you my recipes for each one. Hope you enjoy this post and leave a comment down below and tell me your thought if you try them.

Homemade Face Exfoliating Scrub

2 tbsp of brown sugar
2 tbsp of organic honey
1/2 small avocado/oatmeal(sensitive skin types)

I used to use fine sugar and switched it to brown sugar. Brown sugar is an anti-bacterial and contains glycolic acid which is an alpha-hydroxyl acid ingredient that keeps skin healthy and vibrant, but also clear. It leaves your face moisturized and protects the skin from toxins.

Lip Scrub

2 tbsp fine sugar
2 tbsp honey

This works just as great as the lip scrubs I get from LUSH my favorite is Mint Julips.
You can also add oils to give it a good scent.

Hand Exfoliating Scrub

1 cup sea salt
1 cup olive oil/coconut oil
2-4 drops of your favorite scent
2-4 drops food coloring for the color of your choice

Peppermint Foot Scrub

1 cup sea salt
1 cup olive oil/coconut oil
2-4 peppermint extract
2-4 drops red food coloring

Peppermint for my feet is my favorite because it leaves a cooling sensation and combats odor. After being on your feet all day this leaves your soles refreshed.

Beauty Alert: Velvet Manicure

I saw some of the models on the runway for the Monique Lhullier Fall 2012 Show and all the models had an unusual manicure. They were wearing a velevet manicurte that caught my eye. I happen to be in Sephora one day and saw the product on the shelves from Ciate, I decided to give it a try. I must admit I was a little skeptical because it is a bit on the pricey side. Once I tried it, it was so unusual that it looked and felt like velvet. I do have to admit I am not a big fan because it almost looks like you're growing fungus on your nails. I don't if it maybe has to do with the color I chose, but I am not a big fan. I am glad I tried it but I don't see myself repurchasing it.

If you want to try this new trend I would suggest to try maybe their burgundy. I think that would look more trendy and great. I will be posting pictures so you can see the end results. Hope this review it's helpful and maybe can give you an input if you were thingking of purchasing it.

SER

Well is another one of my foodie reviews. I had the pleasure to taste some of the food in my current employment, and I have to admit I was very pleased and shocked! I love steak and my current favorite has to be Nick and Sam's, but the food at SER blew me away. We had a tasting for pretty much a bit of everyhting and the salads were great. I am a big salad fan and the wedge salad was my all time favorite. It definitely is a must stop for the foodie lovers out there. It is a very contemporary atmosphere which I love and casual, the pricing is reasonable. If you happen to be in the area stop by and check it out. I guarantee you you will not be dissapointed.
