Nights To Remember

Hey guys I just wanted to share a bit with you all, I had a good time on my days off. Honestly all I wanted do was stay home and be lazy in my pj's but my boyfriend made it impossible. After much begging from him I got ready and headed for a night out in the town. I met with my buddy at a local bar in Cedar Springs called Alexandre's and then headed to a club nearby. I'm glad I DID decide to go out because it was actually very fun. I highly recommend checking out Avenue Lounge in Uptown if you live in the city of Dallas. Oh So Pretty Baby Lips

Maybelline has become one of my favorite brands. From face powders, to BB creams and the list goes on. I decided to give it a go and try the baby lips balm that I've been hearing so much rave about, and I have to say I'm very impressed and happy with my purchase. Baby Lips come in 6 different shades/flavors- Cherry Me, Quenched, Peach Kiss, Grape Vine, Pink Punch, and Peppermint. All balms are tinted, except for Quenched and Peppermint which are both clear. The moisturization I got with these balms were awesome and I was so impressed with the color. It  feels really smooth on my lips, and when it wore off, I noticed that my lips were still smooth and not chapped at all.

These balms stayed on my lips long, I got about 2-3 hours of wear out of just one application. If you haven't tried these lip balms I highly recommend them.

Peppermint- Just a clear balm with a nice, pepperminty scent to it. It leaves my lips feeling slightly tingly

Quenched- Clear, but this one has a lightly fruity fragrance


Pink Punch- I love how pigmented this one is,and offers a light pink color on my lips. It's a cream finish, no shimmer or glitter at all

Cherry Me- This one has a pinkish red tint. It's great for people that like red lips

Peach Kiss- This is a nude peachy color that has light shimmer. The shimmer is very light, and more of a sheen than a full-blown shimmer. It's not frosty at all, either.

Grape Vine- This has a purpleish tint to it, but only gives you a HINT of purple- nothing severe like it looks

Bracelet Organization

I finally received my bracelet rack holder that I ordered from eBay and I'm in love! It holds all my babies and more. I think I might order a second one in the near future. My closet is coming along and I'm so happy. I don't have a lot of closet space so the little space I do have I have to figure out ways to organize everything. St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse

I've been debating to get a self tanner. For the longest time I used Jergens but the smell of the tanner made my stomach turn. I think is too strong and it feels sticky on my skin. I decided after much researching to get St Tropez, is a pretty reputable brand and have not heard any negative comments.

I think this tan works perfectly for those who want a beautiful sun-kissed look without using sunbeds or damaging your skin outdoors. If you can't bear the smell of false tan then I'd skip this but honestly it's not overpowering as the Jergens brand. It's also extremely easy to use and dries within minutes. I suggest buying the tan applicator mitt that they have at Sephora to apply it. It saves you time and goes on smoothly with the mitten. As far as how long it lasted. It lasted me about a week without re-application which I think is fine.

On the back of the packaging it gives you instructIons on how to apply it. It notes to exfoliate your skin. I used ocean salt from LUSH and used my exfoliated mitten in the shower. After showering I applied moisturizer to my dry areas and waited about half an hour. I then applied the self tanner all over with the mitten and waited about 60 seconds before getting dressed. It does note you can take a shower after 4 hours to reveal a more natural sun-kissed look which I did and I have to admit I LOVE this product especially for my fair skin.

You can get this product at Sephora for about $30.00 and the applicator mitt for about $6.00. The LUSH exfoliator I use is from LUSH and that costs about $19.95-$34.95 a pot depending on the size you get. I know that the self tanner is a bit expensive but I have to be honest I have never used anything that works so well and looks so natural. MUST TRY!

Dry Shampoo Review

I've mentioned before in one of my videos of how oily my hair can get from the products put in my hair and just my natural oils. I tend to use a lot of dry shampoo on a daily basis between washes due to the fact that I have color treated hair and bleached hair and the last thing I want is to make it more dry by washing it constantly.

If you hate washing your hair as much as I do? I try to go as long as possible without washing it and not because I'm lazy but because skipping a day or two might actually be healthier and it also saves time, water and energy. I will be giving you my honest opinion on how I feel about each and every dry shampoo I own and have tried and which by far is my favorite.

Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo

LOVE: I love that this dry shampoo gives you a bunch of volume and gives texture to your hair. I especially think this is good for people that have thin hair.

DISLIKE: Makes your hair look clean but it definitely does not make your hair FEEL clean and also if you happen to be a burnette using this product I have to say it can give you an ashy look. Also I've come across a lot of defected broken bottles with this product.

Umberto Dry Clean Dry Shampoo

LOVE: I love the packaging it looks like a high end product and is affordable. I like that is very light and doesn't leave a residue behind.

DISLIKE: Hard to find in stores since it sells out pretty fast. I also don't like that it doesn't have as much product as I would like it to.

Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo

LOVE: It has a citrus scent that you just can't get enough of

DISLIKE: It makes your hair feel greasy and it takes a couple of washes before you can get the buildup out of your hair

Suave Dry Shampoo

LOVE: For under $3 bucks you can get a good quality dry shampoo with a great citrus scent

DISLIKE: If you spray too much it can leave a waxy texture on your hair so make sure not to spray too much

Dove Refresh Care Dry Shampoo

LOVE: The smell on this product is awesome just like any of the other dove products I currently use. It gave me a lot of volume and made my hair feel clean

DISLIKE: The packaging leaked after purchasing it twice. I didn't get any uses of it after just using it once or twice

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo

LOVE: This product has a lite matte finish and you get a lot for your money since the packaging is huge. Also a little bit goes a long way, you don't have to spray so much as other dry shampoos

DISLIKE: I have nothing bad to say about this product since out of all the ones I've used this is my top favorite

I'm Back!

I first wanted to say that I am sorry I've not been posting or making videos but school is just now ending
and finals are coming up so I'm trying to just finish the semester.. Not much has happened. I only been studying, working and been doing a lot of shopping. Thanks for being patient : )

DIY Ombre Nails

If you must know since last year the ombre trend has been going strong! I decided to do a nail tutorial with the whole ombre concept and I came up with something bright and summery but trendy at the same time. I will be telling you the step by step but also you can check out my channel and see the video I have on this tutorial. I hope that you enjoy it and let me know if you try any different colors.

1. Prime your nails with a light color either white or light beige. I went with a light beige.
2. Have all your tools and products at reach. You will need three nail polishes I tried a neon yellow, lime green and baby blue. You will also need some nail polish remover, cotton swab and a makeup sponge.
3. Add three strips of color onto the sponge and then roll around your nails for that gradient effect.
4. After finishing all the nails clean the edges with the nail polish remover and cotton swab.
5. Lastly add top coat and voila you're done!
