Good Morning Rise and Shine

So we all have different habits when we wake up in the mornings, whether is having that first sip of caffeine in the morning or getting up to exercise but for me I tend to wake up and get in a good mood when I listen to uplifting songs in the car on my way to work. It makes me happy! I will be posting some of the songs that I love to listen to get me going in the morning to start my day off as well as for a cup of orange juice...wink wink

This or That

Living a healthy lifestyle has become a lot harder than people think. If you are already making the right choices with food that is probably good but if not then it can be quite difficult at first. I am guilty to say that I break the rules all the time. I crave something sweet and go for the sweets and etc. I will be giving you some healthier options to pick from when you are craving something in particular whether is a sweet tooth, something salty or crunchy.

Diet Coke 0 cal - 40 mg sodium  Zevia 0 cal - 20 mg sodium

Back to Basics...Ah, Wilderness!

This past weekend I went camping for the very first time with my boyfriend and some friends. We went to Cedar Hill State Park, it was a beautiful location. My boyfriend and I camped out for two nights and honestly I am glad that I did two nights because it really felt like the first night was just setting up the tent and settling in.

Our camping space was right by the lake and had a beautiful view with ducks just swimming around, which I thought it was cute. The next morning it took us awhile to get breakfast done due to high winds, but after an hour or so we made breakfast burriros with some hot chocolate and marshmallows.

The second day we went hiking and saw some beautiful bluebonnets and afterwards we ended up at  at the Penn Farm were there seemed to be a bunch of history. I cannot believe that some of those houses have been there since the 1800's. Once we got back to our camping site my boyfriend and I went on a boat ride and he decided to go fishing afterwards while everyone else put up their tents and got ready to cook dinner. Once it got darker the night got chilly so we started the fire and made s'mores. Talking around the fire pit was a good way to end the night.

One of my favorite things I enjoyed the most was the soothing sounds of the waves and birds in the mornings as well as the beautiful sunsets when the sun will go down in the afternoons. I had a great time and I cannot wait to go on more camping adventures in the future.

The Spring Power Suits

Texas weather as we know it is pretty random. One day it will be cold and the next it will be hot or windy. Spring weather is my favorite because it not too hot or too cold besides that I have allergies. Today happens to one of those humid icky days. For all the professionals that have to wear suits to work I have some options for that power suit we all can wear during spring. The two I am going to be talking about are line and seersucker suits.

Linen might not sound so appealing because it is quite ancient. The first things to know about linen are that they are made to be casual, and the pure linen wrinkles easily.

Men tend to wear linen suits especially in beach weddings. A linen suit is breezy and gives a ladback classy look especially during summer's hottest, muggiest months, and because of linen's loose-fitting nature, linen suits do not necessarily require traditional tailoring. If you're on a budget, you can comfortably buy a linen suit off the rack. You can also save additional money by buying offseason, in the fall or winter.
As for seersucker suit it is a thin all cotton fabric, commonly striped used in the spring or summer. Getting good clothing items especially a suit is a great investment. The seersucker suits are great for the hot climate and are very light weight as well.

Summer 2013 Trend Report

With fashion changing up on us constantly, it is very hard to know what is in and out. From what I've seen in magazines and in stores the hologromatic and transparent trend is an upcoming trend that I was not so crazy about, but now is starting to grow on me a bit. Of course there is still runway things I still wouldn't wear. Down below I will be attaching some pphotos to inspire you and remember "Fashion changes, but style endures." - Coco Chanel

Vintage Diner

I have been begging my boyfriend for us to start trying new restaurants that some people do not know about. Del's Charcoal Burgers caught my attention when I was searching for diners around Dallas with vintage decor. The food is great as well, I tried their Jalapeno Cheeseburger and it was heaven. I also loved their root beer which has been made from scratch for 50 years now. Hossein Taher bought the place 4 years ago but has not changed the menu ever since. They have been serving red meat since Joe McCarthy died in 1957 and the original menu is still on the wall to prove it. My boyfriend had the guacamole burger which was also delicious. If you love trying new restaurants this is a must to try. Is located in Richardson right off Main Street right in the corner.

Sit, Drink and Relax

I have always wanted to be that person that comes home to a glass of wine after a long day. I have to be honest I am more of a tequila girl, but my boyfriend and I decided to try some wine and the lady at the store convince us to get some cheese and crackers. I like sweet stuff, so she suggested Pink Moscato and Swinfendel. I have to admit I loved both and the cheese, crackers, and mixed nuts really helped me enjoy it as well. What are your relaxing habits?

Egg-stra Special Easter

My Easter weekend was definitely an egg-cellent one! My birthday happened to fall on Good Friday, and even though I had to work I made the best of it at work by taking treats for my co-workers. I was woken up with some birthday pancakes that morning that made the day even more special too. Later that day my boyfriend brought me flowers which was a nice touch and got me the cutest floral perfect Sping sneakers which I wore on Easter. As a celebration of my birthday I went out with friends that night and I let loose for once, since it is very rare I go out.

On Easter the whole family typically goes to the lake, and this time we went to Grapevine lake with all the family and kids. It was so much fun. It started out pretty chilly and windy, but then the weather got quite nice. I was pretty worn out by the sun so by the time we got home I was ready for a shower and some relaxation time. I ended the night with the finale of "The Walking Dead" and called it a night. I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend like I did. I must admit I did not want my weekend to end whatsoever.
