Homemade Face Masks

I'm all about homemade and natural skin care. I can honestly say that I'm a sucker for higher end skin care products as well but for masks I always tend to do my own from time to time.

Let's begin...

For the homemade oily skin care, if you want to clear up your clogged pores you should use masks with strong acidic ingredients such as lemon.

Because the concentration of this ingredient you should mix it with other fruits and vegetables that are more advisable like apples(green ones are more suitable for oily skin) tomatoes, kiwi, pears, bananas and even egg whites.

I personally suffer from very oily acne prone skin.

Banana Egg White Mask
♥ 1/2 a banana
♥ Egg white
♥ 1/2 lemon

For the homemade sensitive skin care, use oatmeal, chamomille and aloe vera because they are antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. If you have sensitive skin this helps calm redness and itchy skin. Milk is a great alternative as well.

Yogurt Oatmeal Mask
♥ 1 cup of plain yogurt
♥ 1 cup of oatmeal
♥ Honey(optional)

For the homemade anti aging skin care, it is best to use facial masks, that contain a high level of antioxidants such as vitamin C. Guava, grapefruit and kiwi contain this vitamin. Vitamin C is a great exfoliating factor, which removes the dead  cells. Another important antioxidant is, vitamin A(retinol). It is mainly found in carrots, butternut squash, mango, avocado and blueberries.

Honey Mask
♥ 1 tbsp honey
♥ 1 tbsp of yogurt
♥ 4 drops of carrot essential oil

For the homemade dry skin care, usually dry and irritated skin is caused by vitamin A deficiency, with the stimulation of the dry weather. As said before fruits containing vitamin A are carrots, butternut squash, mango, avocado and blueberries.

With that being said, don't overuse facial creams that contain oil. Too much oil for people with dry skin can actually clog up pores, that will mean damage in the long run.

Milk Mask
♥ 2 tbsp of honey
♥ 2 tsp of milk

Many of us, are on a budget but that doesn't mean we have to sacrifice skin care. We are no celebrities but we can sure attempt to look like one.
